Portas Investments is an investment organization that provides pre-seed, seed and growth stage funding to start-ups across multiple industry sectors. Our sweet spot is working with truly innovative individuals and businesses and supporting them both financially and with our collective 50+ years of commercial and industry experience.

Portas is particularly passionate about investing in disruptive and innovative solutions that challenge the status quo in in the life sciences, AEC, financial services, food and energy industries particularly. But we are also interested in fun, interesting retail innovations on the product side too. Our reach is truly globally with investments to date in North and South America and Europe.
We believe in the power of purpose-driven diverse teams and we like to work with people we like, who we can build relationships and connections with and who inspire us in the way they talk about their businesses. We like to work with inclusive and energetic pools of talent who are bringing ideation and differing opinions to the table every day. We believe in the power of data-driven analysis and intelligence as well as subject matter expertise in the companies we invest in. We know business, we are commercially wired, we have global business experience and we bolt that into our decision making when tooled up with technical knowledge from smart people in businesses we are interested in.
Each year we select between 3-5 very promising companies to invest in. We see that growing as our portfolio develops. Our goal is to continue to learn more and more about the businesses and industries which interest us therefore enabling us to make better investment decisions as we mature and evolve.
